Since June of 2003, St. Patrick’s has been blessed with the presence of Fr. Jilson
George. This weekend our parish says good-bye to this humble priest from Kerala, India who won our hearts through his warmth, compassion, sincerity and,of course, that signature smile. After serving his last Mass at St. Patrick's 12 Noon on Sunday, February 22nd, 2009, Fr. Jilson was treated to well attended "Bon Voyage" party in Canning Hall.

St. Patrick’s Altar Servers enjoyed a night of dodgeball, bingo, pizza and ice cream with Fr. Patrick Riegger on Friday, February 13th, 2009. Thank you to all our servers for your work in the ministry of altar service.

Mrs. Verso’s first grade class celebrated with an ice cream party this week after collecting 107 cans of tuna and other meats/fish, more than any other class in the school. The canned goods went to the pantry at Parish Outreach. Fr. Jilson was a special guest at the party. Students presented him with a card, a book with pictures of their class, and necklaces they made for Fr. Jilson to take to students when he returns to India.

Members of Cub Scout Troop #163 received religious awards at the 10:30 AM Mass last Sunday. Congratulations to all!

St. Patrick's Parish Lenten Project for 2009 will be to provide a community well for Fr. Anselm’s village in Nigeria. Presently, villagers carry water two or three time a day from the nearest stream, approximately three miles from the village. The cost of drilling will be $25,000. Collection boxes will be located at the church exits.
