St. Patrick’s parishioner Nick Pacinello is one step closer to becoming an Eagle Scout having put countless hours in to raising funds and working hard at improving the area at the south end of our property where the soccer sheds are located. With the help of several friends, Nick cleared the area along the back fence, placed mulch and planted tall bushes. Nick also painted one of the sheds to give a uniform look with the other shed. The results are quite impressive. Congratulations to Nick, his family and friends for this admirable achievement.

Girl Scouts who have earned religious awards were honored at the 5 PM Family Mass on Saturday, March 7th, 2009.

Members of Cub Scout Troop #163 received religious awards at the 10:30 AM Mass last Sunday. Congratulations to all!

Canning Hall recently became a construction site as St. Patrick’s Girl Scouts created gingerbread houses for the 2008-2009 Christmas season.

Parishioner Christopher Santoro, pictured at right, poses with friends who helped with his Eagle Scout Project. On his way to Mass one Sunday, Christopher noticed a man praying by the St. Patrick statue and realized he had no where to sit and pray. Christopher then met with Msgr. Walden and proposed the idea of building benches, planters and making landscaping improvements by the statue as an Eagle Scout project. Christopher is a member of Boy Scout Troop # 70 in Setauket. Congratulations and thank you Christopher!

Prospective Eagle Scout Nicholas Pacinello wishes to thank the parishioners of St. Patrick and all those who donated items and money to the Bake Sale he held at the end of October, 2008. Your generosity will enable Nicholas to complete his project which will improve the grounds of St. Patrick’s.

Girl Scouts from our parish received religious awards during Saturday night’s 5 PM Family Mass on March 1st, 2008. Congratulations to all!

If you've noticed a great deal of improvement in the condition of the baseball field on the southeast side of our property, you have noticed the work of parishioner Jimmy Calcado, his family and a few friends. Improvements have included new fencing, batting cages, new benches and a garbage recepticle. The work was part of his Eagle Scout Project.
