Candidates and catechumens in the RCIA program received the Easter sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil on Saturday, April 11th, 2009.

Welcome to our 19 catechumens and candidates entering the Church this Easter after participating in our Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) and RCIA Adapted for Children programs. Congratulations to Paul, Deannie, Tiffany, Jean Ann, Jeff, Michael, Steve, Jennifer, Emily, Carissa, Alexandra, Kristina, Andrew, Daniela, Alexandria, John, Beatriz, Evan, and Hannah. Thank you for the inspiration you give to us all. May God bless you as you continue your journey of faith.

Participants in our RCIA program took part in the Third Scrutiny on Sunday, March 29th, 2009. Please pray for our candidates and catechumens as they prepare to receive the Easter Sacraments.

Participants in our RCIA program participated in the Second Scrutiny during the Sunday 10:30 AM Mass on Sunday, March 22nd, 2009 as the catacumens and candidates prepare for the Easter Vigil.

RCIA catechumens and candidates participated in the First Scrutiny on Sunday, March 15th, 2009 as they prepare to receive the Sacraments of Initiation on the Easter Vigil.

Our RCIA candidates who have already been baptized participated in the Rite of Sending Forth at the Sunday 10:30 AM Mass. The candidates were “sent forth” from our community to the bishop who will celebrate the Call to Continuing Conversion with them at St. Anne’s in Brentwood on March 22nd.

RCIA participants who will be baptized at the Easter Vigil, their sponsors and RCIA team members attended the Rite of Election with Bishop William Murphy at St. Anne’s in Brentwood last Sunday, April 2nd, 2009.

During the 10:30 AM Mass on Sunday, April 2nd, 2009, Fr. Patrick celebrate the "Rite of Sending Forth" for our RCIA members who are preparing for the sacrament of Baptism at the Easter Vigil. After this Rite, the catacumens are sent to the Bishop for the "Rite of Election."

Participants in our RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults and RCIA Adapted for Children program participated in the Rite of Welcome the 10:30 AM Mass on Sunday, November 23rd, 2008. Following the 10:30 Mass, candidates and sponsors and families gathered in the Emmaus Room for a breakfast hosted by the RCIA team.

The Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday we welcomed not only the return to a new life in the risen Christ, but also new members were welcomed in to the Church through the RCIA program as they received the sacraments of the Rites of Initiation.

This year parish RCIA partipants took part in the 'Third Scrutiny' on the celebration of the 5th Sunday in Lent. Seminarian John Ryan and Fr. Jilson presided.
